She’s one of the stars of hit series Modern Family, but
Sarah Hyland took a trip back in time for her latest TV endeavour.
The young actress stepped out onto the set of Lifetime
series Bonnie And Clyde: Dead And Alive in true Depression-era fashion.
Wearing a short bob, white hat and a blue crocheted dress she
was a far cry from her college drop out alter-ego.

But ever the comedy actress, Sarah’s grin was never far from
her face as she joked around with her other castmates on the Baton Rouge set.
The 22-year old's character is Blanche, the wife of Marvin
'Buck' Barrow played by Lane Garrison.
Part of the Barrow Gang, Buck was the older brother of the
infamous Clyde Barrow– in this series played by Killer Joe star Emile Hirsch.

for the Lifetime/History Channel collaboration, along with the other half of
this famous criminal duo, Bonnie Parker played by Holliday Grainger
The British actress
has made a name for herself in America
after landing a role on the period TV drama The Borgias, and
subsequently the part of Estelle in the most recent film cinematic
adaption of Charles Dickens' Great Expectation.
She
celebrated her 25th birthday on Wednesday and was greeted with a
chocolate birthday cake that clearly she liked the taste of.

The four-part miniseries centres on the bank-robbing couple, from the moment Clyde wins the heart of Bonnie, a small-town waitress looking for a romance to end her monotony and take her away from her over-bearing mother Emma, played by Academy Award winner Holly Hunter.

Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty were the original Bonnie And Clyde, in the movie, which received an Oscar-nomination in
1967.
With the production under the watchful eye of Smash
executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Mero, the episodes will air later this
year on Lifetime.
